Full Time Reggio-Inspired Preschool in Grand Lake Merritt Area of Oakland, CA

Our program’s daily format is flexible and remains responsive to the children’s needs, interests and ongoing project work. However, a “typical” day might look something like this for preschool age students and similar for toddler age students but with music and movement as the focus of morning Circle and more flexible sleep and feeding schedules:

8:00-9:00am Indoor/outdoor free play while children arrive
9:15am Circle time/welcome/sharing and singing/setting project intentions for the day
9:30am Snack time
10:00-11:00am Free play/learning centers and project work/small group activities or special whole class activity (music, large scale art making, etc.)
11:00-11:15am Clean up time
11:15-11:30am Wash hands/set up lunch
11:30am 12:15pm Lunch
12:15-12:30pm Story time while teachers clean up and set up for naptime
12:30-3:00pm Naptime
3:00-3:30pm Cozy corner/story time while children are waking up
3:30pm Snack time (continued until all children are awake from their naps)
4:00-4:30pm Indoor/outdoor free play/small group activities or continued project work
4:30-5:00pm Teacher facilitated group activity (dictated story, game, music and movement, sharing, etc.)
5:00-5:30pm Outdoor free play while children are picked up
